The SCESC is a warm nurturing environment. We are committed to making sure each student reaches their potential. We respect differences and try to tap into students’ strengths. The SCESC follows the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and includes English language arts, math, science, social studies, health and physical education, world language, the arts, and career readiness, life literacies, and key skills.

Culinary Arts Program
Students will be provided with hands-on instruction in a newly constructed culinary kitchen. The program is focused on a variety of aspects of the culinary field, including food safety and sanitation, nutrition, food preparation, cooking techniques, and equipment operation and maintenance.
Life Skills Program
This program offers students, grades K-12+, crucial independence skills that will facilitate their transition from school to life. Learned skills include personal/social, hygiene, cooking, clothing care, and functional academics.
